Hello~
by Lynn D Cruz~
An amazing article with an even more amazing truth about the asian society. If only more parents were to think... and think... and think.... before even thinking about their upbringing methods. The world might just be an even better place ~

Today is May 20th, when translated to Chinese it means "I Love You" somehow. I was only aware of this when someone told me today.
Someone has already wished me..... And I have already said it too....
So have you received yours? Or have you said it too =)
shy-ishly cute and silly-ish cute.
I have never been so confused before. Till today, I never knew I could be in such a state of confusion because of other people. I was having my dinner at Wendys today while this peculiar lady came into the the restaurant.
She was dragging a rugged box with quite a number of bags and recyclable stuff. She looks like an old lady who was just scavenging for food after being kicked out by her horrible little children. She definitely caught my attention and I had half a mind to give her a chicken burger as I ordered a little too much. Nevertheless being the shy me I continued observing her to capture the right moment to give her a free burger.
She dragged her box and sat at a table opposite us. After a while she started collecting paper wrappers from other tables most probably for recycling. Then the most confusing thing happened. She reached into her bag and brought out a brand new looking Dell Notebook which I reckons cost at least RM 2k. That shocked me to my senses that an old lady without an income could afford a Notebook yet no money for her meals.
You must know this is shocking enough for me as I am not capable of buying myself a Notebook despite working although at not such a high pay. In the end I did not give her the burger in fear of insulting me. My friend said she might go crazy from the insult and bite me or worse, launch an attack. LOL =)

Still working~
It indeed has been a while since I last nagged here. There are so many things I wanna share but I just can;t seem to be able to express them openly yet. So many restrictions it makes me feel so not myself. I know we made a deal so I'll try and keep my words.
As for now I am still working under Standard Chartered and things are just getting tougher and tougher. Eventhough I like challenges, I still need breaks sometime. People are leaving and coming but I still stay put. My 3 months contract has ended up being a 9-months contract as university isn't starting anytime yet.
I have received offer from NTU but NUS still hasn't given me great news. Furthermore there's an interview on Nanyang scholarship coming up this coming Tuesday. I really hate interview you know. I just get so nervous that I become a total stranger to even myself. I'd prefer probation over interviews anytime but I guess I need to buckle up and make preparation. I really need this coz I know it'll be hard on my family even under the subsidized tuition fee in Singapore.
Putting that aside~
I WANT A NOKIA N8.... Argh, it's like my dream phone with all games, camera and music in it. The design is super sleek and I absolutely adore the blue covered design. 12MP, NGage and great audio qualities is the combination just for me. ARGHH!!!!!!!!!!! The worst thing is it has not even reached Malaysia.... Why? Why? Why?......

MALACCA TRIP @ 24/04/2010
After the meal we headed off to the zoo... the Malacca Zoo...
I wonder how long ago has it been since I've last went to a zoo. There's again a very simple reason why I dislike going to the zoo. Don't get me wrong, I am a nature and animal lover and I absolutely adore cute little things. Hehe... Well it's the HEAT you see, I can't stand it. It makes me sweat madly and I feel all sticky and uncomfortable. I believe the only zoo I truly enjoyed was the one in the winter during my China trip.
I need not tell you the reason why I enjoyed it right? =)
"Must take photo with Malacca flag"

This little mushroom stood out in the field
Journey to the centre of ....

Malacca Zoo
I'll just let my photos do the story telling ~
Love those ears... Muahaha..
Super tiny = Palm size
Wonder if it's because its head got stuck~
I didn't dare to twist its neck in fear of hurting it...
Hopefully the officer has help this poor pony~
Absolutely CUTE
Mother of all Rodents...
it gave my this adorable look.
Awww....
(PS: I don't do supersonic waves)
Was planning to scare if to see if it'll really
dig a hole and stick its head underground. Hahaha...
Really really hot here~
By the way there was this bunch of birdies which imitated human voice quite well but they don't look like parrots. I wonder what they are. One of them started imitating the Muslim prayers while another greeted in Malay. The one that freaked me out was a scary laugh that sent shiver down my spine. Very very disturbing~
Too HOT. Photo-taking decreased dramatically~
which in a way it is of course.
Those sad eyes ~
Cute but not cute
Okay by now I'm drenched in sweat and I'm very hungry. You wanna know why? We travelled some distance to a Portugese restaurant to realize it opens at night only. After that Steven said we should try finding his little god-brother who lives in Malacca. That took hours and lunch was postponed to 330 pm.
OMG!!! I"M STARVING....
Another weird thing is... in Malacca, most restaurants have rest hour between 230 and 530 pm so it was kinda hard for me to find lunch. Finally decided on a cafe called Friendster cafe~ Go figure the name ~ LOL
After that was more eating at Jonker street.
It was kinda disappointing as I was looking forward to this.
Not much of the durian syrup, let alone flesh.
Too sweet and ended up not finishing the bowl of dessert.
The rest of the day consist of more eating before heading back home at
630pm. Parent's insist on returning home early. Sigh... Over-protected...
Overall the trip was fun and could do better without the HEAT...
That's all for now. =)
